NURTURE: AN INTENSIVE THERAPUTIC TRANSITION PROGRAMME

Nurture provides intensive therapeutic & behavior intervention services to children with intellectual disabilities & associated conditions of a severe kind. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder are also taken care of in this unit. Established in January 2010 for the benefit of special children between 10 to 18 years giving them a chance towards rehabilitation. It aims to make the child independent in generic skills to the best of his/her abilities. Presently, there are 5 children with a special educator and a caretaker in an air-conditioned classroom. An Occupational Therapist & a Speech Therapist from the Diagnostic & Counseling Clinic also tend to the Unit.
